Benefits of Walking

Walking on a regular basis can have great benefits for our health.  It can:

  • Make you feel good
  • Give you more energy
  • Reduce stress and help you sleep better
  • Keep your heart ‘strong’
  • Reduce blood pressure
  • Help to manage your weight

The NHS’s Change for Life website offers some great ideas on how to get more active.  Like us, they suggest that walking or cycling as part of regular journeys can be an excellent way to achieve some of the recommended 150 minutes of exercise an adult needs each week to stay healthy.
